Changes in the Mormon Church

What teachings have been a part of Mormonism until recent times? Even though the LDS Church is only around 200 years old, there have been a number of substantial changes in both teaching and church policy.

In this video, I examine 5 distinct teachings that Mormon Prophets and Apostles used to teach that are no longer taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We are commanded by Jesus to test the prophets, and warned throughout the New Testament about false teachers and doctrines.

If Mormonism’s supposed “prophets” are inconsistent with themselves, why should we regard them as prophets? If many notable teachings from past prophets have been tossed aside, how can we have any confidence that the modern prophets and apostles are accurate in their teachings?

As one friend of mine put it, “I was promised prophets, not religious philosophers.”
